Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe From "The Kitchens of Saint John"

1 Cup Shortening
1 Cup White Sugar
2 Eggs (Beaten)
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
2 1/2 Cups of Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Cup of Chocolate Chips
Instructions
Pre-heat Oven to 350
Cream shortening with sugars and add eggs and vanilla.
Beat thoroughly and blend in remaining ingredients
Drop onto cookie sheet and bake 10-12 Minutes.
